Meet the Founder
In addition to lifelong experience and curiosity about having ADHD and Autism, Nolu Langa brings over a decade of innovative academic and professional experience grounded in research methods, project delivery, policy and stakeholder management in the field of social science delivery.
Passionate about how storytelling shapes communities and cultures, Nolu graduated in English at the University of Exeter. Nolu’s curiosity about helping diverse communities to thrive led her to complete a Master’s degree in Social Sciences at the University of Birmingham in 2017.
These studies ignited a desire to help communities live well. In 2018, she became a Year Here Fellow focused on Communities and Health, where she led innovative service solutions within the award-winning Bromley by Bow Centre and the London Legacy Development Corporation.
Nolu then became an intrapreneur in the British Safety Council, leading the CEO’s Office to be efficient, engaged and accessible to internal and external stakeholders.
Before founding Umii Says, she managed public policy projects for 5 years in the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), excelling at connecting decision-makers in local and central government to the evidence so that funding and support reached those who needed it, as well as providing innovative assets to support long-term knowledge sharing and collaboration across partners.
