We create person-centred, community-led and evidence-based Autism awareness workshops for lasting positive impact
The Umii Says framework
Our workshops and events are designed to promote curiosity, encourage discovery of support and strengthen community connections
Our passion and expertise
In England, neurodivergent Black children are more likely to be misunderstood, misdiagnosed and excluded from education. Unfortunately, systemic inequality, rising demand for support, and a lack of cultural awareness when training professionals make it even harder for these young people to get the help that they need.
Our evidence-based, culturally competent safe-space workshops bridge the gap between lived experience, professional practice and safeguarding responsibility. We equip parents and carers, community leaders and professionals with practical strategies to be curious about Autism in the rhythm of life.
Our founder has been instrumental in delivering national evidence-based support in the communities that need it most as a policy professional. With NCFE accreditation in Understanding Autism as our foundation, we bring the passion, knowledge and skills to honour and enhance the lived experience of neurodivergent people, particularly in the Black community.
What Sets Us Apart
Culturally informed person-centred approach
Everyone is different, that’s why our workshops are a safe space to explore Autism through the lenses of personal experience, cultural experiences and social inequality. We give particular focus to the experiences and outcomes of Black children and families navigating Autism to tackle stigma and dismantle barriers to success.
Practical strategies to build confidence and deepen understanding
Our impact isn’t short-term. Our workshops go beyond awareness and provide practical tools that parents and carers, professionals and organisations can apply immediately and consistently to improve understanding, secure support, and increase inclusivity to benefit neurodiverse people.
Evidence-based, safe and engaging sessions delivered flexibly
Our workshop content is evidence-based and shaped to meet the needs of the group. We create safe, respectful spaces for honest discussion to build confidence without judgment or overwhelming jargon. We prioritise and promote good safeguarding through our workshops.
